Qualitative Interviewing

Qualitative interviews with individuals, specialists, experts experienced in a certain field bring out the cause-and-effect linkages of several phenomena and situations. Such interviews aim at revealing statements, experience, implicit details that help shaping a complete subject method.

The method is applied in order to:

  • to study the whole scope of social relations,
  • collect detailed information on certain subjects,
  • discover basics of a subject that is not commonly discussed or fully explored,
  • determine cause-and-effect linkages between various areas and events.
